Dagoberto Rodríguez Bethancourt is an Associate at LOVILL and a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. His practice focuses on high-profile civil and criminal litigation, as well as international arbitration under ICC and CeCAP Rules.
He advises and represents local and international clients, including individuals, companies, financial institutions, private interest foundations, and sovereign states, in a wide range of sophisticated disputes. His experience encompasses criminal proceedings related to economic criminal law with transnational components, civil liability litigation, and complex commercial disputes. He also provides strategic counsel on compliance and legal risk management, offering preventive guidance aimed at mitigating legal contingencies before they escalate into litigation.
As part of his practice, he has participated in matters involving the identification, securing, and recovery of assets linked to complex investigations, both domestically and in coordination with foreign jurisdictions.
Dagoberto holds a Law and Political Science degree from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua (USMA), where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was a member of the first Panamanian team to reach the advanced rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2021 and, in 2023, served as an advisor to the participating team.
In addition to his professional practice, he actively participates in social development initiatives, collaborating with non-profit organizations dedicated to education and civic engagement.
