About the Jessup

The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition brings together law students from more than 600 law faculties, 90+ countries, 3,000 judges, and a global network of 20,000+ lawyers and academics.

For over 60 years, Jessup has offered students a unique opportunity to argue a fictional case before the International Court of Justice, developing advanced skills in research, written advocacy, oral argumentation, and public international law.

This competition remains the world’s premier training ground for the next generation of global lawyers.

As the National Administrator in Panama, LOVILL:

  • Coordinates all national rounds, schedules, and judging panels.
  • Provides academic and logistical guidance to participating universities.
  • Promotes the study and practice of public international law.

 

Each year, LOVILL also provides financial and logistical support to the winning team so they can compete in the International Rounds in Washington, D.C.
